The Toast of the Town...

VERO BEACH, FL (April 10th, 2007) –The Vero Beach Hotel & Club was the toast of the town when civic leaders celebrated the luxury property’s official opening Thursday, March 15th, 2007 with champagne and a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Vero Beach Mayor Tom White spoke about the many benefits the new oceanfront hotel will bring to the community and did the honors of cutting the red satin bow, along with developers George and Lee Heaton, as well as John Ayers and Lee Weeks from Coral Hospitality and Peter Serena, the hotel’s general manager.

Father Michael Massaro of Holy Cross Catholic Church gave the opening prayer before the traditional champagne toast to the hotel’s success. Afterwards, guests entered the lobby and ascended to the first-floor pool deck for their first glimpse of what is destined to become Vero’s top new luxury hotel.

Guests were serenaded with live music, while enjoying flowing champagne, delicious hors d’oeuvres and cool ocean breezes atop the hotel’s breathtaking pool deck and bar, Heaton’s Reef Bar and Grill, named for the hotel’s developer.

Located on prime oceanfront property on Vero Beach’s famed Ocean Drive, the Vero Beach Hotel & Club is a new four-story hotel featuring 83 one-, two- and three-bedroom, fully furnished designer suites with exquisitely detailed West Indies-style design and décor. Guestrooms evoke an understated elegance with dark mahogany woods, Jerusalem stone flooring, granite countertops, plasma and flat screen televisions, sumptuous bedding and linens and spacious balconies and terraces overlooking the spectacular Atlantic Ocean and unspoiled beaches of the Treasure Coast.

Gracious amenities and intuitive service will be hallmarks of the Vero Beach Hotel & Club experience, which will include a signature contemporary restaurant, luxury spa, private beach club, poolside cabanas, heated ocean view pool and aquaspa, pool bar and grill, fitness center, executive boardroom, private event room, golf privileges at a local country club and concierge, laundry, valet and business center services.

The Vero Beach Hotel & Club is opening in two phases. Phase One, which opened February 19th, includes 50 one-and two- bedroom suites, a pool bar & grill, heated oceanfront pool and aquaspa, poolside cabanas, fitness center, full concierge services, 24-hour valet parking, room service, laundry service and business center services.

The second phase, slated for completion this fall, will include 33 two- and three-bedroom suites and a signature contemporary restaurant, Indigo Room. Meeting and function facilities will also be available in Phase Two, including an executive boardroom that can host meetings for up to 12 people as well as an additional 1,000-square-foot venue that can accommodate up to 100 people. A luxurious 5,000-square-foot spa and salon is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2008.
