2010 ACE Group Classic Moves to The Golf Lodge at The Quarry
Champions Tour Event Held President’s Day Weekend, February 8 - 14

Naples, FL - The ACE Group Classic will move to The Golf Lodge at The Quarry for the 2010 tournament. The event will take place on President’s Day weekend, February 8 - 14, with the final round being held on Valentine’s Day.

"We are excited to bring The ACE Group Classic to The Quarry and showcase the wonderful golf course and facilities that they have,” said Tournament Director Jason Camp. “I’ve been a big fan of the Hurdzan/Fry design team and I know this course will be a great challenge for the legends of golf that annually compete in our field. We hope to continue to build off the monumental successes we’ve had the past three years, including last year at TPC Treviso Bay. With that said, we are very thankful for the staff at TPC Treviso Bay and VK Development for giving us a wonderful home last year."

The 2009 ACE Group Classic marked TPC Treviso Bay’s grand opening to the public. The tournament was a tremendous success, bringing in over 100,000 fans over the course of a week for the third consecutive year. The tournament will relocate to allow TPC Treviso Bay to finish their infrastructure, including the clubhouse and locker rooms.

"We are delighted to host the 2010 ACE Group Classic at The Quarry,” said Doug Reed, General Manager, and Vice President of Golf & Club Operations for Coral Hospitality, the Naples-based company that manages the golf operations at The Quarry on behalf of Pulte Homes, Inc. “The opportunity to gain worldwide exposure for one of the most unique new properties in Southwest Florida is extremely exciting, and I believe that the players will embrace the challenge. The Quarry's management team relishes the chance to draw on many years of collective tournament experience in contributing to the success of this prestigious event."

The Quarry is a pristine golf and recreational development located in North Naples, 20 minutes from downtown. The centerpiece of the area is the 320 acre Stone Lake, which was created from an old limestone quarry. A championship golf course, created by Hurdzan/Fry, winds a links style course around the perimeter of the lake. The course opened in January 2007.

"All of us at Pulte Homes are excited to be associated with such a great golf tournament on the Champions Tour," said Ryan Marshall, President of Pulte Homes - South Florida operations. "We are enthusiastic about showcasing The Quarry community, which recalls the grandeur and sporting lifestyle of America’s classic lakeside resorts. Both spectators and players alike will enjoy a scenic golfing experience as the golf course stretches through some of the most beautiful preserves in southern Florida; while the athletes will appreciate the challenging and competitive fairways and greens from the Hurdzan Fry design team."
