Our resort is the ultimate destination forany escape, from an adventurous weekday getaway, to a family reunion, to a romanticweekend, to a corporate meeting. Guestswill find a variety of activities to suit every taste: golfing, hiking,fishing, dining and swimming. The natural surroundings put every guest at easeand in the mood to be creative and productive. We are looking for a hard-working, individual to work as a MaintenanceTechnician for our resort, who wants to be part of a team environment. SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintainingthe general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basicelectrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting work. Responsiblefor performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair andmaintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive andproductive maintenance systems and processes. Completemaintenance request work orders from all departments on a timely basis. Participate in the preventive maintenanceprogram for all-building equipment and rooms. . HOURS/DAYS: This is a full-time,seasonal position working approximately 40 hours per week, 5 days perweek. Position requires the individualto maintain flexible availability, will work weekends and holidays and may berequired to return to the job site at odd hours under emergency situations. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Maintaincomplete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/serviceprocedures/standards. · Maintaincomplete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipmentonly as intended. · Anticipateguests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy andwhatever time of day. · Maintainpositive guest relations at all times. · Resolveguest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. · Monitorand maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. · Receivedaily work assignments from Chief Engineer/Supervisor and review priorities andspecial projects. · Organizematerials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments. · Maintaintimelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenanceprogram. · Checkwork orders and night report for any problems. Make rounds checking these problem areas and note any information neededor safety concerns in the hotel. · Schedulework in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinatingwith the Executive Housekeeper and Front Office. · Handlechemicals for designated uses/surfaces. · Performsimple machinist duties and responsibilities. · Performmechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical,pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment. · Readand interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenanceand service. · Diagnoseproblems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. · Performregular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. · Performa variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. · Usea variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handlingequipment in performing duties. · Detectfaulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusualsituations to proper supervision. · Complywith safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. · Assistwith any special projects assigned. · Assistwith rooms maintenance which includes replacement of switches, outlets, lightbulbs, rewiring of lamps and appliances, caulking bath tubs, shower headreplacement. · Attenddesignated department and staff meetings. · Recommendenergy saving ideas. · Recommendsafety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs. · Wipedown walls, clean and paint as needed. · Repairfurniture. · Buildstorage bins, shelves, etc. · Followall corporate and departmental policies and procedures in a strict manner · TeamPlayer REASONING ABILITY: This position mustpossess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailedwritten/oral instructions and the ability to deal with problems involving variablesin standardized situations. They mustalso have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one andsmall group situations to other employees of the organization. Must be able to multi-task and think outsideof the box. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. EDUCATIONand/or EXPERIENCE: High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience required. Previous experiencein a resort/hotel environment preferred, but not required. Ability to perform basic mechanical,electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and carpentry skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKENVIRONMENT: Theposition requires work to be performed in indoor and outdoor environments. Indoor activities include sitting or standingfor long periods of time, reading, writing and verbal communication andoperating office equipment. Exposure tovariable and sometimes adverse weather conditions and active physical workinvolving lifting up to 75 pounds, carrying, pushing, stooping and reaching arerequired. The individual must be able towork long hours. Pre-employment drug testing and background screeningwill be conducted. DFW/EOE
